Genuicare began in 2008 when Mark realized there was a need to provide therapy in a better way.
Mark began his physical therapy career at Christus Shumpert Sports Specialists in Shreveport, LA where he focused on sports and orthopedics. He became dually licensed as an Athletic Trainer and gained further specializations in Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), MedX Spine Rehabilitation, and Back to Golf. After 6 years as an outpatient sports specialist, Mark made a major transition by jumping into Home Health when he decided to move to Hot Springs to help open and start a new location for Elite Home Health. One of the main reasons he transitioned from outpatient sports therapy to home health and remained working in home health for 14 years was his love for the elderly.
Mark started out as an employee for Elite Home Health in 2006 and in 2008 decided to open his own therapy service company, Genuicare Therapy Services. There was an unwavering focus on genuinely caring for both the patients he treated and the employees he hired to join in his mission. Genuicare has helped Elite Home Health to become the highest-rated Home Health service provider in the Hot Springs area with a 5 out of 5 Star Quality of Patient Care rating and the highest in customer satisfaction.
In 2018, Mark was given the opportunity to assist a local outpatient therapy clinic. His love for outpatient therapy came back pouring back and put a new fire in his heart! Suddenly he began working to get to a point where he could open an outpatient clinic. Not just any outpatient therapy clinic, but one that focused on delivering world-class care and maintaining the relationship with his clients once the therapy ended. This led to the opening of the first outpatient therapy clinic in 2020.
Genuicare is built on the dream that together we can make a greater impact than any one of us could alone. That we will forever improve the way therapy services are provided within the communities we serve. That we must be willing to do all that we can to not only rehabilitate our patients, but to prevent injury or illness and maintain health and function. That we will represent the hope and desire for living a more abundant and active life. We will achieve this by living our core values:
